Starting car using PC |
|
I dunno if this forum is still used but here goes. I am wondering if it is possible to get one of those push button starts for your car, and wire it up to a USB rely on a pc so that when you run a program on the PC, it will start the car.
Reason being I have a biometric finger print scanner that will run a certain program when used so if I can start my car with the PC, in effect i could start the car using my finger print. then only thing left to do would be to make the key stop on ignition2 position to disable the key to start the car.
Any ideas??
PS. I know this is asking to get me stuck somewhere as the PC wouldn't boot or something but you could always still have the push button start hidden under your seat or something just in case.
Thanks in advance

It is possible, what you are looking for is a relay board.
Maplin in the UK do some by velleman.
or if the US, look into the Fusion Brain.
